Web design · Georgetown, Kentucky

Websites that turn visitors into regulars.

I design and build websites for small businesses, churches, and nonprofits around Georgetown and Lexington, and for clients well beyond Kentucky. Every page has one job: help the right people find you, trust you, and get in touch.

Why your website matters

Your customers check your website before they ever call.

98%

of consumers used the internet to find information about local businesses.

BrightLocal Local Consumer Review Survey, 2023
58%

often or always check a business's website to confirm what they saw on social media, Google, or an AI tool.

DreamHost Local Business Trust Index, 2026
53%

of mobile visits are abandoned when a page takes longer than 3 seconds to load.

Google, "The Need for Mobile Speed," 2016
25–95%

more profit can come from keeping just 5% more of your customers.

Bain & Company, Frederick Reichheld

Getting found is only the start. Your site has to earn trust in seconds, make the next step obvious, and give customers a reason to come back. After launch, I'll show you your own numbers: calls, form leads, and where your visitors came from.

How a website pays for itself

A good website keeps working after the first visit.

A new customer is good. A customer who comes back and brings a friend is how a small business grows. I plan every site around that whole loop.

  1. 1

    Found

You show up on Google and Maps when people nearby search for what you do.

  2. 2

    Trusted

The site looks current, loads fast on a phone, and answers the obvious questions.

  3. 3

    Contacted

Every page offers one clear next step: call, book, give, or ask.

  4. 4

    Remembered

Events, updates, and sign-ups give people a reason to come back.

  5. 5

    Recommended

Reviews are easy to leave and the site is easy to share with a friend.

Every referral starts the loop again.Referred customers are worth at least 16% more than other customers. (Wharton School study, 2011)

Everyday Faith daily devotional page

Squarespace integration · Georgetown, KY

Everyday Faith

The church already had a Squarespace site, so I built the daily devotional system to work alongside it, with only small changes on the Squarespace side. The pastor writes once, and the congregation gets a reflection, questions, a challenge, and a prayer every day.

Templates, AI, or a designer?

Anyone can launch a website now. Getting one that brings in customers is the hard part.

A site that pays for itself needs three things: a plan for getting found, pages built around what customers should do next, and someone keeping it current after launch. That's what you're paying for.

Template builder

Wix, Squarespace, and similar

Getting found

The search settings are there. Knowing what to put in them, and setting up your Google Business Profile, is up to you.

Bringing in customers

Templates are designed to look good in a demo, not to get your visitors to call or book.

Keeping it current

Every change is yours to make, and the editor is easy to forget between updates. Help is a support ticket.

Build it yourself with AI

AI site builders and chat tools

Getting found

Covered only if you know to ask for it. Your Google Business Profile and local listings are still on you.

Bringing in customers

Generic layout and wording, unless you already know what your customers need to see.

Keeping it current

Hosting, security, updates, and fixes are all on you. When it breaks, you troubleshoot it.

Work with me

One person who plans, builds, and looks after your site

Getting found

I set up your page titles, search basics, Google Business Profile, and local listings, so people nearby can find you.

Bringing in customers

Every page is planned around one next step, like call, book, give, or ask.

Keeping it current

A Care Plan covers hosting, updates, backups, and monthly edits. When something breaks, you email me.

Your time costs money too.

Say a do-it-yourself site takes 30 hours and your time is worth $50 an hour. That's $1,500 spent before it brings in a single customer, and the site still needs updates and fresh content every month after that.

The $199 Website Checkup

Already have a website? Before you invest more of your valuable time and resources, find out what it's doing for your business today and which changes will make the biggest difference. I'll go through it the way your customers do, on a phone and a laptop, and tell you what to fix first.

  • A recorded video walkthrough of your site, about 15 minutes
  • A written list of fixes, ranked by how much they affect calls and inquiries
  • A check of your Google Business Profile and local listing
  • Speed and mobile results, explained in plain English

Delivered within 3 business days. Your $199 counts toward any project booked within 60 days, and the fix list is yours to keep either way.

For churches & nonprofits

Reach your people on Tuesday, not only on Sunday.

Template platforms are inexpensive, and for some churches they're the right choice. When you want a site your people visit during the week, I plan it around the sermons, devotionals, and events your staff can keep current, and I teach your volunteers to run it.

  • Sermon, devotional, and event publishing your staff can manage
  • Giving, registration, and volunteer sign-up links that are easy to find
  • Training for staff and volunteers, in person if you're nearby
  • 15% off any build for churches and registered nonprofits

Jeff Cole

About

Hi, I'm Jeff.

I'm a web designer and landscape photographer in Georgetown, Kentucky. When you hire me, you work with me. The same person plans your site, designs it, builds it, photographs it, and answers your email after launch.

Most of my clients are a short drive away in Scott and Fayette counties, and I'm happy to meet over coffee downtown. Some are much farther away, like a family farm in Oregon. The goal is the same either way: a site that brings in customers and gives them a reason to come back.

Kind words

What clients say.

“I was spending more time fighting my Wix editor than tutoring my students. Every small change knocked something else out of place. Jeff gave me a simple site that’s easy to keep current and has room to grow as I add new ways to help students succeed.”
Joyce · TutorWise · Georgetown, KY
“I was juggling two websites, one for my sheep and one for my puppies. Jeff brought them together under one farm, gave each its own clear path, and made listing sheep for sale easy to manage. The timing couldn’t have been better: our Valais Blacknose business was just taking off.”
Hadassah, Owner · Webb's Wold Farm · Scio, Oregon
